I have a total of 28 years of teaching completed.  I began teaching in 1989 at Eaton Elementary where I taught second grade for eight years and moved to Greenback School where I taught five years in fourth grade.  Both of these schools were in Loudon County.

In the summer of 2002, I was chosen to teach eighth grade Language Arts at Alcoa Middle School for 8 years.  One year was spent as the AYP Coordinator for AMS, then I began teaching 6th grade math.  This is my first year on the seventh grade team teaching math.

I am the proud mother of two wonderful boys: Alex, a 2012 AHS graduate, who is currently station at Fort Riley, KS in the US Army.  Jake, a Sophomore at Pellissippi State Community Collge.

Mother of 3 amazing dogs: Nola a 5 year old German Shepherd who rules the house.  Maddie a six year old Pit Mix, who hate thunderstorms and loud noises, and finally Honey, a 4 year old muggle with the vicariousness of a teenager!  My life is full of dog hair, doggie kisses and unconditional love by all!
